Who you are dealing with

Started in Queens is a brand of Arkane Designs LLC, a New York company at 4003 164th Street #261, Flushing, New York 11358-9997. These terms cover every purchase on startedinqueens.com. Placing an order means you accept them. We update them when the shop changes, and the version on this page when you order is the one that applies.

Orders

An order is accepted when we take payment. We can cancel an order before it ships if an item is out of stock, mispriced or something we cannot make, and we refund the full amount when we do. We can refuse an order we have reason to think is fraudulent. Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. If a price on the site is plainly wrong, we tell you before we make the item and you can cancel for a full refund.

Pre-orders

A pre-order is charged at checkout and ships on or about the date shown on the product. If that date moves by more than two weeks, we tell you and you can cancel for a full refund.

Shipping and returns

Shipping, delivery times and what to do about a damaged, defective, wrong or missing item are on the shipping and returns page, which is part of these terms. Everything is made to order, and there are no returns or exchanges beyond what that page says.

Payment

Stripe takes the payment in its secure form on our checkout page. We never see your card number. A refund goes back to the original payment method and takes a few business days to show, depending on your bank.

Our designs

The Started in Queens name, the marks, the neighborhood lettering and every design on this site belong to Arkane Designs LLC. You are buying the item, not the right to reproduce the design. Do not copy, print or sell our designs, and do not use our marks in a way that suggests we made or endorsed something we did not.

What we promise and what we do not

We make everything on our own floor and check it before it ships. Beyond the shipping and returns page we make no other warranty, and as far as New York law allows, our responsibility for any order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here takes away a right the law gives you that cannot be waived.

Disputes

Email us first and we will try to sort it out. New York law governs these terms, and a claim that cannot be settled goes to the courts in Queens County, New York.
